In today’s era, education is not only confined to reading and writing. It is now linked to the holistic development of the children. This is the reason K.R Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar is leaving no stone unturned to help students to experiment with their knowledge and are providing them different opportunities to showcase their skills. These include exhibitions, special assemblies, presentations, house meetings etc.
The days, 21 and 22 October 2020 were innovative and experimental days for all the students as we conducted the Science Exhibition by Nursery and KG students on a virtual platform. A science exhibition is a wonderful tool that engages students in learning new facts. It develops in them the curiosity to learn more in an interesting and experiential way.
The event commenced with the welcome speech by Pre-primary co-ordinator Ms. Ramnik Kaur followed by greetings and welcome by students in English and Hindi language. Motivational words by our school Principal, Ms. Priya Arora encouraged us to progress with the event with more confidence.
Inspired, encouraged and motivated budding scientists of KRM performed different experiments with great enthusiasm and excitement. It was so wonderful to watch little kids performing various experiments which taught us that we and science are made for each other. The experiments included Rising water experiment, making a cart from the waste juice pack and balloons, making an anemometer etc. These experiments also broadened our knowledge that science offers answers to various questions we ask out of curiosity and we need to understand the importance of science.
The parents were also provided an opportunity to view it. The students were zealous to explain the concept of their project /experiment to everyone present. The invitee for the day , an academic advisor of KRM Group of schools Dr. Anil Vashisht was delighted and overwhelmed by the each child’s performance . He appreciated the efforts by the team involved for the conduct of the event. The exhibition was successfully concluded by Vote of thanks by a student.
This exhibition made students more confident, creative, future-ready, and learners for life.
