“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Education opens the windows of the mind and Illiteracy is one of the stumbling blocks to progress. The ability to read and write gives individuals greater strength to deal with the world and greater access to information. Every year, World Literacy Day is celebrated on September 8.The main purpose to celebrate the World Literacy Day is to encourage awareness towards literacy so that everyone can know their social and individual rights. As we need food to live, we need literacy for social and personal development.
To spread this message about the importance of literacy among the little learners, K. R Mangalam World School , Paschim Vihar celebrated this day virtually on 8th September 2020 with great enthusiasm. The teacher explained about the World literacy Day to children through PPT and videos.
Also, to show the joy of learning and fulfill the mission of literacy, the students of Pre- School and Pre-Primary were encouraged to donate books, notebooks, stationary etc to needy children in their neighbourhood.
