“Be a global citizen. Act with passion and compassion. Help to make this world safer and more sustainable today and for the generations that will follow . That is our moral responsibility.”
Embracing this, K.R. Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri achieved another milestone by successfully hosting a virtual intra MUN session on 17 – 18 December 2020. The raison d’être of KRMUN is to provide an interactive platform to the young leaders and the global citizens of tomorrow to step up to their responsibility towards their nation and towards the entire mankind. The intellectually challenging simulation of world politics gave our delegates a chance to discuss international issues and draft resolutions to combat those issues.
The 80 delegates were divided into two committees – UNHRC and UNW. The agenda for the former committee was “Human Rights Violation in Libya” while the latter focussed on “Elimination of violence against women, predominantly in Middle East and South East Asia”. These committees were an attempt to stimulate students with a space to debate and negotiate on the issues of monumental importance.
The virtual KRMUN metamorphosed into a roaring success with active participation by Mangalites and was concluded by conferring awards to the students for their humungous research and critical thinking.
