70 Years of Independence

India And We Are Proud Indians To Complete 70 Years Of Indepence. The Only Way We Can Appreciate Our Grounds Is If We Understand Our History. To Have An Open Eye And Ear To The Roots That Became The Backbone Of Where We Stand TodayTo commemorate the nation’s 70th Independence Day, the government has outlined an additional detailed 15-day long program. It will be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ’70 Saal Azadi – Zara Yaad Karo Qurbani’ (70 years of Independence – Let’s recall the sacrifices made) and will go on from August 9 until August 23. The relevance of 15 August in our lives today becomes even more significant given the challenges the nation faces from across the border and disruptive forces within. The social, political and religious stability in the country is increasingly under attack and threatens to undo the gains of our hard fought freedom for values of a secular, inclusive and democratic India. Bharat Parv and Tiranga Yatra are only events and by themselves will mean little unless the youth understand the struggle that led to our independence. Sixty-nine years have elapsed when that announcement was made. India remains a democratic, secular and egalitarian state. Today she is the largest democracy of the world. She is a beacon light to the countries and nations of the developing world that are struggling hard to tow the line of governance which India has upheld. Our march along the dotted lines has not been easy and without challenges.

Many political observers within and outside the country expressed reservations whether a country, virtually a sub-continent comprising so many faiths, languages, cultures and ideologies would be able to keep the course it had chosen for itself? History has belied their apprehensions; history has proved that India is capable of overcoming the challenges that are looking into her face. And in this challenge, India has emerged successful just because the path she has chosen is the path of righteousness as enshrined in the thoughts and words of our sages and saints. We are so lucky that our forefathers have given us a land of peace and happy where we can sleep whole night without fear and enjoy whole day in our school or home. Our country is developing very fast in the field of technology, education, sports, finance and various other fields which were almost impossible before freedom. India is one of the countries rich in nuclear power.

We are going ahead by actively participating in the sports like Olympics, Commonwealth games and Asian games. We have full rights to chose our government and enjoy largest democracy in the world. Yes, we are free and have complete freedom however we should not understand ourselves free of responsibilities towards our country. As being responsible citizens of the country, we should be always ready to handle any emergency condition in our country. Many in the world were apprehensive of the success of democracy in India. Their belief was further strengthened when several countries in the region, including Pakistan, failed as democracies and chose an authoritarian and militarist path in its stead. But this did not happen in India, and we have crossed more than half a century as a democracy. India has falsified all the prophecies of doom. It is the ballot, and not the bullet, that reigns supreme in India.
AN INDEPENDENT AND FREE COUNTRY IS A RIGHTFUL COUNTRY.
OUR FLAG LOOKS SO GRAND ON THIS INDEPENDENT LAND.
